The addition of lavish flavours to the recipes make the Indo-Chinese delicacies way special. The modified food has just laid hold of our taste buds. There are numerous Indo-Chinese recipes that have become the favourites of most of the Indians.

Chicken Fried rice – (Servings-4)

This easy chicken fried rice recipe is definitely going to get you drooling. This is something you would try over and over again.
Ingredients:
For Rice –
1 and half cup rice
3 cups of water
1 lb chicken
2 carrots
3-4 minced garlic cloves
1 tsp cooking oil
2 tsp butter
Green onion, salt and pepper (as per your taste)
For Sauce –
2 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp soy sauce
3 tsp water
How to cook Chicken Fried Rice –
- Combine the rice and 3 cups of water in a cooking bowl and let it cook for 15-20 minutes. Check whether the rice is done or not (rice is ready when fluffy).
- In a pan, add 1 tsp oil and saute the chicken until golden and fully cooked. Season it with a little salt and pepper.
- Remove the cooked chicken from the pan. Add 1 tsp butter with grated carrots. Saute over medium flame until fully cooked. Add the carrots to the cooked chicken.
- Heat the pan with 1 tsp butter and add minced garlic. Now add the cooked chicken and carrots and stir.
- Add rice and gently stir.
- In a small bowl, add all the ingredients for the sauce. Pour sauce over the rice and stir nicely. Add chopped green onion, fry for another 2-3 minutes and stir as required.
Veg Chow mein – (Servings-4)

Ingredients:
200 grams noodles
5 cups water
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cooking oil
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp chilli powder
Half tsp soy sauce
1 tsp salt
¼ cup sliced onion
¼ cup chopped celery
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp chilli sauce
1 cup capsicum
1 cup mushroom
1 cup shredded carrot
1 chopped green chilli
1 tsp tomato sauce
1 tsp spring onion
½ tsp black pepper powder
How to make Veg Chowmein:
- Take water in a pan, add oil and salt. Bring it to a boil.
- Add noodles and let them cook.
- Once bite-like, drain immediately and cool under running water. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the noodles.
- Heat some oil in a heavy bottom pan and stir fry ginger garlic paste, chopped garlic, and onions on a high flame.
- Add celery and mushrooms, capsicum and carrot. Mix well.
- In a small bowl, dip chopped green chillies in vinegar for garnishing.
- Add salt, black pepper powder, sauces and vinegar to the veggies. Stir well.
- Add the boiled noodles and mix thoroughly.
- Garnish with the green chilli vinegar mixture.
- Enjoy hot and spicy noodles.
Manchurian – (Servings-4)

Ingredients:
For veg manchurian balls:
1 ¼ cup of chopped cabbage
½ cup grated carrots
¼ cup finely chopped French beans
¼ cup grated capsicum
¼ cup finely chopped spring onion
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
3 tbsp corn flour
3 tbsp maida or all-purpose flour
½ tsp crushed black pepper
Salt (as per taste)
Oil for frying
For sauce:
1 ½ tbsp oil
1 tbsp chopped ginger and garlic
¼ cup chopped spring onion
¼ cup finely chopped capsicum
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp red chilli sauce
1 tsp vinegar
¾ tbsp cornflour
1 cup water for gravy
½ tsp red chilli powder
Salt (as per taste)
Sugar (optional)
½ tsp crushed black pepper
How to make veg manchurian:
For manchurian balls:
- Add the veggies, ginger garlic paste, corn flour, maida, pepper and salt to a bowl and mix.
- Make medium-sized balls from the mix and fry.
- Fry the balls until golden.
- Keep the fried balls on the tissues to drain the excess oil.
For manchurian sauce:
- Heat oil in a pan, add chopped ginger and garlic and saute for a minute.
- Add spring onion and capsicum. Saute for a minute on high flame.
- Add corn flour to water and mix well.
- To the veggies, add soy sauce, red chilli sauce and red chilli powder. Add a tsp of water.
- Pour the corn flour dissolved with water into the pan.
- Gently stir and pour more water.
- Add vinegar, salt, black pepper powder, sugar as per your taste.
- Keep stirring until the sauce thickens. Make sure it is not very thick as it will thicken further on cooling.
- Switch off the flame and keep the sauce aside.
Once the sauce is cool, add the veg manchurian balls to the sauce and garnish with spring onion.
Serve the tangy veg manchurian with fried rice or noodles.
Veg manchow soup – (servings-4)

Ingredients:
¼ cup finely chopped carrot
¼ cup finely chopped French beans
¼ cup finely chopped cabbage
¼ cup finely chopped mushroom
¼ cup finely chopped capsicum
¼ cup of finely chopped spring onion
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
2 tbsp each of chopped ginger and garlic
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp of powdered black pepper
½ litre water
½ cup corn flour
½ cup oil
1 tsp salt
2 small green chillies (finely chopped)
For garnishing:
½ cup broken noodles
Manchurian Recipe:
- Heat oil in a pan. Ads ginger, garlic coriander and green chillies. Stir fry for a minute.
- Add the veggies and black pepper powder and stir fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add soy sauce, salt and water. Let it boil and then reduce the flame to low.
- Add the corn flour paste and stir till the mixture starts to thicken.
- Remove from the flame.
- Garnish with spring onion add some noodles.
- Enjoy hot.
Veg hakka noodles – (Servings-3)

Ingredients:
300 grams hakka noodles
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tsp minced ginger and garlic
1 sliced green chilli
¼ cup chopped celery
1 sliced onion
1 chopped carrot
1 red pepper (chopped)
1/4 cup chopped spring onion
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp green chilli sauce
½ tsp sugar (optional)
¼ tsp black pepper powder
Salt (as per taste)
A pinch of white pepper powder
Veg Hakka Noodles Recipe:
- Boil the noodles.
- Drain the boiled noodles and wash them under cold running water.
- Add ½ tbsp vegetable oil to the noodles and toss them.
- In a wok, heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil and 1 tbsp sesame oil on medium flame. Add minced ginger, garlic, green chilli and chopped celery. Saute for a minute.
- Add sliced onion and saute until golden brown.
- Add the sliced carrots, capsicum, spring onion and cook for a minute on a high flame.
- Add the sauces and vinegar and toss the mixture well.
- Add black pepper, white pepper and salt.
- Add the boiled noodles and toss the mixture well, till the noodles are well coated with the sauces. Garnish the noodles with spring onion greens.
- Serve hot.
