What is Fastag?

Validity of Fastag?
FASTag has a validity of 5 years and after purchasing, you only need to recharge it. So all you need to do is to purchase it and stick it on the top middle of the windshield, below the rearview mirror. Upon purchasing FASTag one can check the balance on the website of the issuer agency.

How to recharge Fastag Account?
You can recharge your FASTag account by simply adding money to your Paytm wallet associated with the respective FASTag account. Money can be added to the wallet via Credit Card/ Debit Card/NEFT/Net Banking. The account can have a maximum of one lac only at any time.
There are various FASTags like SBIFASTag, ICICIFASTag, PaytmFASTag etc. FASTag issued by certified banks can charge a maximum of Rs.100/- for each tag which is fixed by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
However, the actual tag issuing charges are defined by the banks and may vary from bank to bank. Presently the FASTag service is available only for four-wheelers.
