New Rules and Guidelines for lockdowns and night curfews in these Indian Cities.

As the second wave of COVID-19 in our country begun, many cities are now implementing strict restrictions to hold back the effect of the disease. There would be Night curfews and weekend Lockdown to shut down on public places, below are the latest updates on what you can and cannot do in the following cities.

Mumbai

As the city has witnessed a rapid rise in the Covid cases, there would be a night curfew from 8pm to 7am on weekdays and complete lockdown on weekends from 8pm Friday to 7am Monday, until 30th April 2021. This time essential workers have been excluded from this rule, also more than 5 people are not allowed between 7am to 8pm on weekdays.

For public transport, only two passengers are allowed in auto-rickshaws at a time. Whereas in four-wheel drives 50% occupancy is allowed except for the driver. No restrictions on buses, train and flight but if anyone is caught without a mask fine there is a fine of 500/-.

Most of the entertainment sources are shut down like movie theatres & auditoriums, beaches, amusements parks, gyms, swimming pools & sports complexes. School and colleges will be closed except 10th & 12th standard, private offices except financial services are also remain shut. Home deliveries are allowed, pick-ups are not allowed during weekend lockdowns. Worship places also remain close for this period.

Whereas banks, stock market and insurance offices, pharmaceuticals, telecommunication, manufacturing and agriculture sector will remain open.

Pune

The night curfew is applicable between 6pm to 7am on weekdays and complete lockdown on weekend, lasting 6pm on Friday to 7am on Mondays till 30th April.

In public transport, auto-rickshaws can take two passengers, four-wheel drives can operate at 50% capacity. If an offender is found without a mask there is a fine of Rs. 500/-.

There is an exception on telecommunications, insurance, electricity and water supply offices whereas shops, market and malls will remain closed including gyms, sports complexes, and cinema halls. Pick-up and home deliveries are allowed between 7am to 6pm on weekdays.

But hospitals, diagnostic centres, clinics and pharmacies will be opened including groceries stores, bakeries and confectionaries.

Delhi

In the capital city of the country, the night curfew is imposed from10pm to 5am every day until 30th April. But an e- pass should be carried by the people for emergency purposes.

Bengaluru

The Karnataka government has put section 144 in Bengaluru to stop the gathering of people to stop the spread of the disease. Amusement places like swimming pool, gyms, and party halls will be closed too.

Ahmedabad

There will be a night curfew in Gujarat till the end of April including the city itself and the timings would be 8pm to 6am every day until 30th April. More than 100 people are not allowed at weddings and major events in the city will be postponed until further notice. This curfew also includes famous cities like Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Jamnagar, Gandhi Nagar and Amreli.
