No cash in your wallet? Tried the ATM machine? Didn’t find cash in the ATM machine as well? We all face such situations at some point of time. And that’s so disturbing. Imagine you don’t find cash anywhere while you are travelling. We can’t even think about it.
To make the things easy for citizens, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji has launched a new initiative known as ‘One Nation One Card’. Using this card, a person can pay for all types of services, even public transportation.
The One Nation One Card is powered by RuPay card payment scheme initiated by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). The One Nation One Card is similar to your RuPay credit and debit cards issued by your bank and the card can be used anytime, anywhere. This RuPay card can be issued as a credit, debit or prepaid card of a partner bank. The card is supported by National Common Mobility Card support.
How to apply for One Nation One Card? You can contact your bank to get your One Nation One Card. The card will be available with over 25 banks including SBI, PNB and other banks or you can issue it from Paytm payment bank as well.
The Card can be used for shopping, paying all kinds of bills, and even for public transportation charges. You can simply use the card as the contactless metro card. Even the parking and toll payments can be made with a touch. The best part is if you travel abroad, you can get 5% cash back at ATMs and 10% cash back at merchant outlets. It is also accepted by Discover and Diners Club International merchants and ATMs.
The initiative is supported by Automatic Fare collection gate ‘Swagat’ and Open loop Automatic Fare Collection Gate ‘Sweekar’.
So now onwards you don’t need to carry many cards in your wallet but just one to pay for everything.
